Reykjavik 13-16 June 2022
We look forward to catching up with everyone in 2025 in Turku/Åbo at the next Nordic Ethnology and Folklore Conference, and perhaps already in 2023 at the SIEF conference in Brno.
Thanks again to the 38 student volunteers who made us look good and to our trusted partners in the NomadIT team, as well as to conference partners and supporters: the President of the Republic, the Ministry of Education and Culture, the town of Garðabær (which lent us the pool and threw in hot dogs), the Reykjavik Arts Museum (which lent us the venue for the closing party), the Reykjavik City Museum, the National Museum, the Árni Magnússon Institute, and the Reykjavik Forestry Association, as well as Kungl. Gustav Adolfs Akademien, Letterstedska föreningen, Clara Lachmanns fond and the Nordic embassies in Iceland. Moreover, we want to thank our brilliant keynote speakers, Tine and Terry, for inspiring opening and closing lectures. Our biggest, warmest and most encompassing gratitude, however, goes out to all of you, as convenors, chairs, speakers, discussants, audience, karaoke singers, dancers, sliders, pool guests and the clever, kind and interesting colleagues that you have all shown yourselves to be.
With no regrets, Valdimar & Dagrún
